Diagnosing Your First UCAT Sitting
Your UCAT score report shows scaled scores per section. Before doing any further practice, spend time identifying exactly which sections and which question types cost you the most marks.
- โCompare your section scores to the cohort percentile tables โ not all low scores are equally fixable
- โIdentify whether your underperformance was accuracy-driven (wrong answers) or speed-driven (unfinished sections)
- โReview your SJT band โ a Band 3 or 4 requires a distinct remediation approach focused on ethical reasoning frameworks
- โList your three specific failure modes (e.g. 'I lost marks on DM syllogisms', 'I lost marks on VR Can't Tell questions') before writing your retake plan
