How Oxford Uses Your LNAT Score
Oxford uses the LNAT alongside your personal statement, predicted grades, and written work. The Section A score is used for initial filtering. The essay is read by admissions tutors as evidence of analytical writing ability. Neither part alone guarantees an interview.
- โSection A scores below 22 are very unlikely to progress at Oxford regardless of essay quality
- โSection A scores of 27+ place you in the competitive range โ essay quality then differentiates
- โOxford's tutors look for intellectual clarity and structured argument in Section B, not legal knowledge
- โThe written work requirement at Oxford is separate from the LNAT essay โ prepare both independently
