Objective Test Question (OT) Technique
The OT section is where many candidates lose easy marks by overthinking or misreading. Each OT question in a CBE carries equal marks and there is no negative marking, so an unanswered question scores zero while a guess at least gives you a chance. Apply a consistent process to every OT question.
- โRead the requirement first, then the scenario โ not the other way around
- โEliminate obviously wrong options before choosing between the remaining
- โIf uncertain, flag it and move on โ come back with fresh eyes
- โNever leave an OT blank โ guess if you must, you cannot score below zero
- โWatch for 'which of the following is NOT' โ easy marks lost by inattention
